History: Taken down in 1876 from the singing of James Keane of Kilkee, who was then
83 years of age; whose memory was richly stored with Irish music, and with
songs both in Irish and English. He told me at the time, with the greatest
confidence and cheerfulness, that he had two years more to live, as his
father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all died at 85. Slieve Elva a
